The Perrys In Michigan Territory

Lapeer County, Michigan, Deed
16 July 1836
Morris Perry and wife Emaline Perry of Lapeer, Territory of Michigan
Deed To
Francis Fowler of Onondaga Co., NY

This couple (Morris and Emmeline Perry)?

"Mrs. Louisa Dexter White and her sister, Emmeline, were adopted by a relative and moved to New York City.  Emmaline married Mr. Cromar, a wealthy planter who lived near Charleston, S.C.  Mr. Cromar died about 1831, during a tumultuous time in the South which was hard on Emmeline's nerves.  After Mrs. White moved to Lapeer County, Michigan, she brought her sister Emmaline with her.  In 1836 Mrs. Cromar married Morris Perry, a blacksmith; they resided in Elba until Mr. Perry's death in 1844.  In 1849 Emmaline married a Mr. Parker, with whom she moved to California.  Some years later the Parkers moved back to Lapeer, where they both died."
