My (Cathy's) Note: Through my research I found that the heirs of William Roark sold in Monongalia County (West) Virginia, on 7 October 1839 :
...certain tract or parcel of land...situate on Indian creek adjoining lands of Charles Glascock, Soloman Hougue and others it being part of a large tract of land which was granted Frederick Guice and David Scott on the 14th day of November AD 1792 and conveyed by the said Frederick Guice and David Scott...to William Roark and bounded as followeth (to wit) beginning at a white oak corner to James Arnett and running with a line of Soloman Hogue South forty three west one hundred and sixty poles in___ of the ___ and a line of Charles Glasscock thence with Glasscock or B___...
