Location Of The Upper Canada Land Board Search

There is a search of the Upper Canada Land Board (1765-1804) records here (found through this blog).  The results are given with an individual's name, their location and year.  The location is either Luneburg, Mecklenburg, Nassau or Hesse.

Because the locations meant nothing to me, a map was located that showed how the former areas were situated in what is now Ontario, Canada.

From the Canadian Heritage Gallery:

The four districts of Upper Canada, c. 1788, with the German names Luneburg, Mecklenburg, Nassau and Hesse.. .  ID #21681 Credit: National Archives of Canada, NMC-5006
