Stark County, Ohio, Deed Images & Indexes Online

The Stark County, Ohio, Register of Deeds has an ARCHIVE section which houses the actual images of the indexes and the deeds back to 1809. Once the free registration is completed, click on the "Archive Search" link. The Index Book search is at the top, then the actual deeds can be found at the bottom.

The Stark County site is useful if one wants to familiarize themselves with the deeds and indexes from the comfort of their own home. Since Ohio is sometimes known as "The Gateway To the West," a deed of relevance to the researcher may be found in Stark County.
