Apparently the Rice farm was not sold until 1896, 37 years after Ann (Hinds) Rice's death.
The heirs of Arthur L. Rice (son of Ransom and Ann Rice) sold Ransom's farm in Franklin County, Tennessee, in 1896 for $175.00 to James A. Rogers and his wife, Viola. The land included land transferred to Ransom Rice by David Rice in open court, May term 1820. Ransom Rice was in the county on February 16, 1820.
