A 2012 newspaper article about Aaron Barnes Page, Civil War veteran.

"He [Aaron B. Page] was raised in 1830s Grand Rapids when it was a virtual frontier village. He moved to the Traverse City area in his twenties."

"What he didn't know was that Page was a Civil War veteran who would end up in an unmarked grave in Colorado."
Aaron Page was in the Illinois 72nd Regiment, Company E.
The National Park Service's document concerning Omena Historic District in Leelanau Michigan, had the following paragraph about Aaron B. Page and William A. Richmond;

Visitation to the area and the demand for a hostelry in Omena was great enough as early as the late 1850s that Aaron B. Page (who was married to Joseph Dame's daughter Almira and brother-in-law to Indian agent William A. Richmond) built a rooming house to accommodate lumbermen clearing Leelanau County’s yet untapped virgin timber... .
