Christopher Ecklin, assignee of Charles Cock, assignee of Stockley Donnellson, assignee of John Lathun - 1000 ac - treasury warrant #8413 dated April 4, 1782 - in the fork of Trading Creek, a north branch of Powells river - corner to Charles Cock's settlement right - to another survey or Cock's - January 6, 1786. Trading Creek in Powells Valley - In Lee Co, near the KY state line and about halfway between Hubbard Springs and Hockett, a Trading Creek on State Rd. 656 merges with Sugar Run Creek and becomes Dry Run Creek that flows to Powell River. [Source]
