Peach Island or (Isle aux Peches) used to be prominent in early days as the summer home of the great chief and conspirator, Pontiac.  It is a Canadian Island and until recently was owned by Mr. Hiram Walker, whose fine residence added much to its beauty. It is now owned by the Detroit, Belle Isle and Windsor Ferry Company who are making extensive improvements upon it. [Source]
