The
"Indiana Grant" was made at the
Fort Stanwix Conference of 1768, referred to by Michael Gratz in his letter to
Aeneas Mackay. The boundaries of the "New Province" as given in the deed from the Six Nations November 3, 1768,, were from a beginning at the mouth of the Little Kenhawa and with that stream, Southeast to Laurel Hill with Laurel Hill to the Monongahela; with that stream to the Southern boundary of Pennsylvania; West along the boundary, extended to the Ohio river, and down the Ohio to the beginning.
