.....Part of the Lands which I now possess on Haw River bargained and sold them to John Trowsdale. He gave to Trowsdale a Bond to make a Title to the Lands, and Trowsdale gave to him two bonds for the Payment of the Purchase money. The Revolution came on shortly afterwards and the lands of McCulloh were confiscated.
