...was in America from the year 1755 till the year 1764...in a regiment then called the Yorkers; and was at the taking of Cataraquoi (Frontenac), Niagara, Fort Levy?, Montreal...in consequence of his attachment to the British Government during the last war in America did suffer much ill treatment from the Americans...till the year 1785 at which time he made his way into Canada....
