The Mandlebaums To Benjamin B. Richmond In 1858 In Detroit

  died July, 1887.

 Information about Mr. Mandlebaum's business from History and review of copper, iron, silver, slate and other material interests of the south shore of Lake Superior:

BOHEMIAN AND LAC LA BELLE COMPANIES.
These two companies were operating on locations situated on the south side of the Range nearLac La Belle. The mining was confined to small fissure veins, charged with yellow and gray sul-phuret ores. Mr. Simon Mandlebaum was the superintendent of he former, and Major Alexander H.Sibley of the latter....

Mandlebaum bought the ship CALDWELL, S.D. (Year of Build:  1862), Also Known As:  LOUIE O'NEILL.
