The William H. Johnson in the deed appeared to be the son of Thomas T. and Clarissa Johnson who were living on T9R5E in 1860 and were living in Saline County in 1850. William H. Johnson was not a member of my Johnson family. His estate in Saline County, Illinois, was a subject of this blog post.
