Bell & Knox Counties in Kentucky both had a Rock House stream and Cumberland river according to the KY Gazetteer. Knox Co., KY, was formed from Lincoln Co. in 1799; Bell Co. was formed from Knox & Harlan Counties, KY, in 1867. See a 1795 map of Kentucky here; the Cumberland River is prominently featured. This source shows a Rock House Creek in Logan Co., Kentucky (on Google map here). Logan Co. was formed from Lincoln Co. in 1792. This source shows Rock House Creek near Venters and Pike Co., KY. However, since Lincoln Co. was not a parent county for Pike, that seems to eliminate Pike Co. as the location of Christopher Acklin's Virginia Patent 6953.
