William Howard's Grimsby Land

My ancestor, William Howard, purchased LOT C, East Gore, Township of Grimsby, Lincoln County Ontario, Canada, in 1817.

The information was found in FHC Microfilm #170114, Abstract Index Books, 1798- 1957, Lincoln County (Ontario) Registrar of Deeds and on a page that said Grimsby Reference to the Search Instruments Wherein the Nos. of Lots and Concessions are Omitted Township of Grimsby:

Quantity of Land:  24 a 3r (my best interpretation)

The original patent for this property was from the Crown to William Kitchen on 1 September 1797.

Also itemized in the Lot #3 West Gore on the 20 Mile Creek category was Instrument #13990 with the same information as above.  Added information was Cerm? Book #1 for 459 and in pencil 5357 to Fohr? 154 Book 2 (I have no idea what the added info means).  There were 4 entries, including the one in pencil.  On a different page with #13990 on it, also Lot 3 West Gore 2nd R South _ 20 Mile Creek has same information with 10 entries.  The entry before #13990 was #12950 Isaac Waddle to William A. Culp.

Where to go from here with the above information?  Hopefully the following resources will help.
