The Pankeys Quit Claim To Elizabeth Slaven

Saline County, IL, was formed from Gallatin County, IL, in 1847. The Pankey's land sold to Elizabeth Slaven may have been in the newly formed Saline County since Elizabeth Slaven lived in Saline County when the 1850 census was taken.

In the 1860 census there was an Elizabeth Slaven, age 65, born in North Carolina, living in Saline County, Illinois. Living with her were Rebecca [Hampton] and her children Simpson, William, Mary, Jane, Joseph and Calvin. The children were born to Wade & Rebecca (Slavens) Hampton according to this site.
