First when my ancestor Henry Amos bought 200 acres on Indian Creek from him [Monongalia County WV Deeds Old Series 1:173] by agreement of 13 Sept. 1790.<br /><br />This land was in what is now Marion County, WV (the part set off from Monongalia County in 1842). It was not part of Roark's mill land.<br /><br />Henry conveyed this to his son James Amos nearly 29 years later [Monongalia Co.
