I have heard many interesting stories about the Okefenokee Swamp!
Dorene, the most memorable moment was the guide asking us to drink water straight out of the swamp. Jim and I declined, but luckily there were two young brothers who were up to the challenge. Apparently it's pure enough to drink as is. There's also a "soapy" plant that suds up when rubbed that grows in the swamp. The guide demonstrated that, too. It was a fun place to explore!
