Trail Of Tears In Tennessee

From the Indian Country Today Media Network, an article entitled "Little-Known Trail of Tears Segment ‘Rediscovered’".
"One crossed through Rutherford County, passing north of Murfreesboro to avoid tolls on the main roads. Instead, it cut through the town of Old Jefferson, located at a fork in the Stones River near Smyrna, Tennessee."
Another media article here.

Facebook has the rediscovered portion identified on a map.

A carving by Peter Toth in Cleveland, Tennessee, that commemorates another section of the Trail of Tears.
