Property transfers that occurred as the result of probate action were indexed under "Will" rather than the Grantor's name! So, nearly 40 years of these transactions (1865-1901) were virtually inaccessible to researchers unless they had accidentally stumbled across these several hundred people with the "surname" of "Will!"
